Some easy test methods of brushless DC pump function.

After you received our samples or goods, you can use a flow meter to test their flow rates and use a pressure meter to test their water head, if possible. If you have no these equipments, you also can do the test with the flowing simple steps as below:

AVisual measurement of appearance:

To check the appearance of the pump with your eyes to see if the pump is broken, damaged, glue leakage , off-line, dirty, etc.

BTo test the parameters of the pumps:

To test the water head and flow rate according to our test report, you need to prepare these equipments:

A. Adjustable DC electrical source, 1pcs

B. Water tank (bottle), 1pcs

C. Measuring glass, 1pcs

D. Transparent rubber hose, 1pcs. (The length of the hose can be as long as that of the pump inlet and outlet houses, 1pcs is enough, if you only need to test the water head)

E. Twist switch, 1pcs

F. Red wire and black wire with two Clamps.

G. Timer (to test the flow rate per minute), 1pc.Tape rule, 1pcs. (To test the water lift).

(C); Calibration of equipments

1.      Turn on the adjustable DC electrical source

A: Turn the current button to its maximum gear.

  B: Turn the input voltage to the real voltage of the pump (we offered to you)

2.      To put the DC brushless pump( submersible pump) into the water tank(box), and add tap water( or clean water) into the water tank(box) slowly till the time that the water level is over 20cm of the pump inlet.

3.      To connect the rubber hose to the pump outlet, straighten the rubber hose in order to make it fix strong with the horizontal plane vertically.

4.      To connect the red wire to the twist switch in series and connect the red wire and black wire(with clamps) to the DC electrical source( the red wire is for the positive pole of the DC electrical source, the black wire is for the negative pole of the DC electrical source, please do not make them reversed) separately.

5.      To ensure the twist switch is power off, then, connect the red wire and black wire (with clamps) to the red wire (positive pole) and black wire (negative pole) of the pump separately. 

6.      At last, check all the steps again to make sure everything is ok.


1: Water head test:

A. Turn on the twist switch, the pump start to operate.

b. To watch the current and voltage on the DC electrical source carefully. The voltage should be set at the one we offered (check the test report we provided before testing), it should not be over5%.

C. To watch the height of the water flowing up, when the water overflows, measure the height.

2. Test of flow rate:

a. When pump become to work normally, test the water (liter per minute) that comes out of the pump of one minute. The tolerance of the flow rate value should be within 5%.

 bTo ensure no objects blocks the inlet of the pump

 cThe rubber hose should have no air and other objects, if there is air or objects, do please turn off the power, and remove them out, clean the rubber hose to ensure there is no water inside, turn on the power again to test.

 dTo check if the rubber hose connected to the pump outlet well, make sure there is no leakage.

3. Leakage test

A. To connect a transparent rubber hose to the inlet of the pump and another one to the outlet of the pump, the length can be 10cm each for both parts.

b. When the pump works well and water can come out, keep the inlet hose into water, and block the outlet tightly to check if there is leakage.


1. Run-dry operation (no water inside of the pump) is strictly prohibited;  
2. Pumps are prohibited under the long-term exposure to strong sunlight and heavy rain. 
3. Pumps are prohibited to use in strong acid solution (PH value≤PH5-10, salty: 20%), Please tell us your special requirement, when place order.  
4. Keep the pump appearance and working fluid clean. 
5. Please remove the pump and wash it with clean water, dry it and wrap it, put it away, if you will not use it for a long time. Next time when you use it, pour water into the pump inside and wash it, shake the pump with your hand slightly, then, put 60%-80% rated working voltage to power the pump and test, to watch if the working current is regular. After that, turn the working voltage to the complete rated working voltage, watch 1- 2 hours to see if the temperature rise is normal.
